The basis of every website is HyperText Markup Language more commonly referred to as HTML. It's basically a way of formatting text it in a particular way so that an Internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.) can display the page to the viewer and allows you to link pages together using simple tags.
There are no hard and fast rules about what you use to create these pages - you can use a simple text editor like notepad or a much more complicated yet powerful editor like FrontPage or Dreamweaver - it all depends on how comfortable you are with the code.
An excellent alternative to coding pages yourself is to use a Content Management System, such as Joomla, Drupal or Wordpress. These systems offer a templated website with the ability to add content in specific locations. Each system offers different benefits: simple setup, vast numbers of extensions, flexibility of use, and coping with thousands of users.
Whichever option you are considering, drop us a line and we can discuss which is the best option for you. |

So you've created your website but don't know how to let others see your hard work.
Well, first off you'll need some sort of webspace. This is simply some space on a webserver that is hosted on the internet. Usually your ISP or webhost will provide this and can give you the access details you'll need.
Next you'll need an FTP client. This is just a piece of software that you can use to copy your files from your own computer to the webserver. An excellent and free client that we'd recommend is Filezilla, but there are others available. Once you've setup your connection settings you simply drag and drop your files and they'll be visible from your website URL.
If you get stuck, drop me a line and we can talk through the options. |

The new website for Coldharbour Evangelical Free Church (where my family used to worship) is currently in development. In the mean time a temporary site has been created which delivers key information using a very simple design template.
It's easy to update, by simply including text files with relevant information. |

Integrity Creations was born out of a desire to help small groups of people have fantastic websites. I'm a full time developer but this isn't my full time job. However, I enjoy what I do best - helping people.
The websites that I design and create are done with the intention of making them visually gripping, easy to navigate for the user and easy to maintain for the client. I call them clients, but for the most part they are my friends and colleagues and maybe someone I bumped into on the street.
